Fanfiction = A piece of fiction utilizing characters and situations from a pre-existing work including (but not limited to) books, television programs, films, and comic strips. Written by fans of the original work. Often used to play out AU scenarios and/or various romantic pairings not found in the original work. Typically separated into het, slash, and general genres.

AU = alternate universe

Het = straight romance or erotica (pr0n!)

Slash = gay/lesbian romance or erotica (pr0n!)

pr0n! = porn (NC 17)

OTP = One True Pairing, favorite combination of two characters.

O3P/OT3 = favorite combination of three characters.

CW = the CW network, a corner in TV-land where lots of pretty boys and girls live.

RPS = Real Person Slash. Stories featuring famous people. It's a fantasy-universe.

Manip: a manipulation of an image, usually made into a more intimate situation than the original

J2 = Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, actors, currently playing the Winchester brothers in series SuperNatural.

Other pretty in the J2 universe = Tom Welling (young superman in Smallville), Michael Rosenbaum (villain in Smallville) Chad Michael Murray (from One Tree Hill)

FYI: I watched Buffy and Angel religiously, same goes for the original CSI. I don't care much for SuperNatural.
